TravelManagers Continue their Exclusive Famils

Wednesday, 19 October 2011

Jasmine Jackson, Anita Medcalf, Michelle Duncombe and Jeremy Ferguson enjoy a pre-dinner break at Club Med La Plantation d’Albion.

TravelManagers has continued their exclusive famil opportunities for its personal travel managers with their third this year just completed and their tenth since TravelManagers commenced their own dedicated famils in 2009. Working again with Club Med this time the lucky participants spent time in Mauritius. Executive General Manager for TravelManagers, Mandy Scotney, says the benefits that come from an exclusive famil are significant for the company, their personal travel managers and their partner suppliers.

“We have partner supplier relationships with leading hotels and resorts, airlines and cruise and touring companies and it really is a win-win for all involved. There is a real prestige in going away on one of these exclusive famils as you actually have to earn your place.”

In this latest example places were awarded to personal travel managers who not only committed to up-skilling themselves in the supplier’s product through the company’s webinars but also achieved the highest total gross Club Med sales over a specified four month period.

“Club Med is a partner supplier of ours and we have an outstanding relationship with them. As a result of their commitment to us and vice-versa our personal travel managers are educated regularly through our webinars on their latest developments. This has naturally led to a significant increase in sales which everyone benefits from.”

Ms Scotney says the exclusive famil opportunity is part of their partner supplier relationship.

“Club Med really turned it on for our personal travel managers pulling together an unforgettable stay in Mauritius over six nights. Air Austral was involved also which completed the experience. They love it as they have regular access to your personal travel managers for up-skilling and the opportunity to thank them for their sales results the best way they know how – letting them experience Club Med first-hand.”

Anita Medcalf, representative for Trundle, Central West of New South Wales says Mauritius exceeded her expectations.

“I felt so proud to be selected; it was such a fantastic reward for the volume of my Club Med sales. Club Med La Plantation d’Albion in Mauritius is stunning. They cater for everyone whether you want to relax by one of the pools or at their spa which is outstanding or be more active tapping into the incredible line-up of activities they offer including trapeze, tennis, golf or water sports.”

Ms Medcalf says a real highlight for her was play golf on the Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita Golf Course, with a pro from Club Med.

“This is a championship course designed by Ernie Els, the whole day was organised by Club Med, and because the course is on the other side of the island you get to see more of this magic spot. It was truly memorable and I know several clients who would be keen to experience it.”

The other successful participants on this exclusive famil trip were: Jeremy Ferguson (Brunswick West – VIC), Anne-Maree Selmo (Chelsea Heights – VIC), Rosemary Kates (Wollongong – NSW), Michelle

Duncombe (Mount Eliza – VIC), Michelle Pelley (Beaumont Hills – NSW), Zoe Hemming (North Rocks – NSW) and Melinda Lenton (Kenmore Hills – QLD), all of whom were escorted by Jasmine Jackson from Accounts Support in TravelManagers’ National Partnership Office and Adam Ferraro from Club Med.

Ms Scotney says providing such opportunities for its personal travel managers have helped cement its place as the market leader in mobile consulting.

“The depth and breadth of our offering to travel professionals who aspire to manage their own clientele and maximize their earning capacity as personal travel managers is extensive. Our familisation trips are a very small part of TravelManagers comprehensive business offering for experienced travel consultants.”
