Adventure travel leader invites adventurous tourists to discover the real North America

G Adventures, the world’s adventure travel leader, today announced that for the first time since opening 21 years ago, it will be launching tours in North America. The travel company will be providing a range of new tours across the continent to meet demand for their unique adventure style of travel in the region.
The new trips vary in length, style and service level to meet with differing consumer needs and tastes and will particularly focus on offering the opportunity to explore North America’s natural wonders, famed national parks, unique cultural hotspots and iconic cities.

“The demand for North American trips by Australia and New Zealand travellers has been steadily increasing in recent years, and the adventure travel space is no different,” says Pete Rawley, Head Honcho at G Adventures for Australia and New Zealand. “It’s apparent that travellers want something that goes beyond the ‘greatest hits’ and explores and celebrates the diversity of all of the quirky things that make American culture so interesting”

Trips to the region include:

Overland Road Trips
Ranging from seven to 45 days, G Adventures’ Overland Road trips include everything from roadside diners to camping under the stars, and travellers journey between destinations on new, Wi-Fi enabled vans. Plus, for added convenience, the tours include a start and finish hotel stay in major cities.

On the eight-day Sin, Surf & Sierras adventure, travellers hike in Yosemite National Park, drive along California’s beautiful coastline, revel in the gaudiness of Las Vegas, break a sweat in Death Valley, relax on the beach in Santa Barbara and stargaze in Los Angeles.

Standard Hotel Touring
For travellers looking to explore North America with a softer landing, G Adventures announces Standard Hotel Touring. Travellers uncover the continent’s must-see and must-experience destinations via new, comfortable 15-passenger vehicles, and stay in quality hotels.

The eight-day Routes of American Music Southbound adventure trip is the perfect way for music lovers to experience the beating heart and toe-tapping soul of the country.  Travellers tune in to the rhythms of America, from Dixieland jazz and Mississippi Delta blues to Kentucky bluegrass.

Active Escapes
Active Escapes are based out of comfortable, authentic lodges and charming hotels near national parks and iconic sites. With an average group size of eight, the week-long trips are ideal for those who are looking to actively explore a region by foot, pedal and paddle. Travellers have the opportunity to explore the continent at a slow and steady pace and savour the many memorable moments.

In the six-day Napa Valley Active Escape, travellers kayak among redwoods in Sonoma, sip stellar vino at wineries, hike through the wilderness of the Wine Country, and enjoy picnics with local produce.
To celebrate the launch, G Adventures is offering a 15 per cent discount on North America tours booked by December 31, 2011 for travel by December 31, 2012. The early booking bonus does not apply to Discovery Adventure tours.

The new trips are available now.
