Equipping agents with more tools to sell and offering holiday-makers exclusive tour options, AAT Kings has unveiled its new enhanced and renewed 2012/13 programs.

Speaking at a media lunch yesterday, the Australian operator’s managing director Tammy Marshall explained that the company had spent the past 18 months researching and making adjustments to programs to provide agents with new tour options that meet consumer demand.

Among the changes includes a new standard of Guided Tour products, exclusive You Are Invited options that include unique local experiences as well as a replenished focus on guests obtaining indigenous understanding.

Ms Marshall highlighted that changes were ushered in by research findings that revealed insight into “how customers feel about touring Australia” and what “resonated with travellers today”.

“We have enhanced customer experiences, offering best value for money and ensuring exceptional hotels and accommodation,” she explained.

“We have also added products such as You Are Invited experiences which offers local experiences where we go into each region, learn about locals and their cuisines.”

Ms Marshall added that new products would assist the company maintain its traditional markets as well as attract growing markets.

Despite the strong Aussie dollar, the company had welcomed growth this year compared to last year, although demand was slightly softer year on year.

US, UK, Europe and Asia markets were strong for the year, according to the head, with China, Hong Kong and Korea all growing compared to last year.

The company’s 2012/13 Western Australia and Northern Territory programs has already launched into the market, while the South Australia and Queensland brochures will be unveiled in November this year.

AAT Kings has also kicked-off an Early Payment Savings on its Western Australia, Western Discover 20-day option of up to $1160 per couple, based on bookings made at least 10 months in advance.
