New program to cement company as the market leaders in active European travel
With some 200+ self guided and small group guided walking and cycling itineraries spanning the entire European continent  - as well as across the Straits of Gibraltar to Morocco – the agent friendly 2012 brochure contains an unprecedented range of itineraries to suit a wide range of travellers, from families to experienced alpine enthusiasts. As a special to launch the 2012 brochure, UTracks is offering an Early Bird saving of 10% per person for booking before 21 November*.  With many trips reducing in price from 2011 levels, Active Europe has never been more affordable.

Responding to the demands of their loyal clients, the Active Europe 2012 brochure contains a whopping 44 new tours with shorter and longer trips, more Italian and Spanish product, an increase in their boat based programs and a new concept – self guided group departures.    “With so many of our clients returning or booking multiple trips it’s important to offer new and exciting itineraries which delve into the heart of Europe”, says Kate Baker, UTracks General Manager.
In 2011 the company saw a huge surge in demand for their active boat & barge based tours and has accordingly released an impressive selection of vessel based walking and cycling trips along the gorgeous Amalfi Coast, in Provence, through Italy’s Veneto region as well as to the more remote regions of Sicily.

For  2012 the company has pioneered an innovative concept which allows individual travellers to take advantage of the flexibility and competitive pricing afforded by their self guided itineraries. One self guided departure date each month will be designated as a ‘Self Guided Group’ departure. This new option allows individual travellers to be matched with others of the same gender to enjoy all the benefits of a self guided trip without the expense of a single supplement.

A growing number of families have also been attracted to UTracks’ affordable pricing and relaxed active itineraries in Europe. In 2012 the company is offering 27 family friendly itineraries with new experiences including walks in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps, the Italian Dolomites and Cappadocia in Turkey as well as a multi-activity walking and cycling journey through Croatia’s Southern Dalmatia island chain.

”With holiday time a premium and so much of Europe to be explored, we have developed a range of shorter itineraries” Says Kate Baker
Shorter trips include a 5-day walk along Ireland’s famous Wicklow Way, a 4-day self guided cycle through the vineyards of Burgundy as well as a 5-day self guided hike in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountain range. Travellers looking for more epic journeys should consider their 15-day biking tour along France’s Loire à vélo' trail from the regal landscapes of the Loire Valley to the wild shores lining the Atlantic Coast, or the 15-day self guided cycle traverse of the entire German section of the Danube River.
