Globus sales bound

Sales on Globus’ new USA and Canada 2012 programs spiked by 75 percent since launching new offers in July compared to the same period last year.

The company saw sales on its new programs to North America spike by 75 percent compared to the same period last year, while Cosmos North America bookings were up 70 percent.

Avalon Waterways’ 2012 sales increased by up to 50 percent compared to last year while the new Mekong river cruise offering prompted a 400 percent leap in Asian river cruising bookings.

Citing the jump in sales to the strong Aus dollar into the US, Globus Australasia marketing manager Christian Schweitzer explained customers saw the “value” of their offerings reaching a new levels with customers.

“Travellers are moving quickly to take advantage of some great deals,” Mr Schweitzer said.

“Not only is the $A strong but we’ve had some great earlybird deals across all brands this year, which really seem to have hit the mark and are helping to drive the growth.”
