Royal Caribbean’s Splendour of the Seas has entered dry dock at at the Navantia shipyard in Cardiz Spain ready for her USD$35 million ‘Royal Advantage’ refurbishment.

A plethora of new dining options will be added during dry dock including, ‘Chops Grille’, ‘Izumi’, ‘Boardwalk Dog House’, ‘Chef’s Table’ and ‘The Park Café’.

Young cruisers will be privy to an all-new ‘Royal Babies and Tots Nursery’ and constant cruisers have been accommodated with the new ‘Diamond Lounge’ for Crown and Anchor loyalty members.

Technology will be upgraded throughout Splendour with ship-wide WiFi, a digital way finding system, electronic mustering and a large outdoor movie screen.

A further 124 balconies will be added and new in-room amenities will include flat screen televisions.

Scheduled for completion by 25 November, she will set sail on a transatlantic voyage from Lisbon to Sao Paulo, Brazil where an array of South American itineraries will be offered for the southern hemisphere summer.
