Do you send out regular newsletters, but find that your customers can't making any bookings? Are your customers becoming bored with your email content? Not to fear, we have some tips to help you with this! Below are 3 simple things you can do to encourage your readers to start engaging with your email newsletters.
1. Be personal
We're not talking about personalising the email with the reader's first name. We're talking about writing content that relates to your readers. For example, if your ideal customer is someone who loves to travel, then engage your readers by using emotional landscape imagery in your enewsletters. For example, images of tropical beaches and sunsets, or rainforest walks. Use words like “relax”, “explore” and “discover” to appeal directly to the emotions of your customers and entice them to take a holiday with you.
2. Offer something of value
Give your readers a reason to read your emails. It doesn't need to be expensive either. For example, useful tips on places to visit and see, travel tips, educational whitepapers, links to useful news articles, news updates on the situation in a particular country, or access to exclusive information, specials or discounts.
Whatever you decide to offer to your customers, make sure it is relevant to their needs as well.
3. Start a conversation
Nothing will engage your customers more than having an actual online conversation with them. For example, use 'contact us' or 'send us your feedback' links in your email. Ask your customers questions like, 'tell us your travel story' or 'send in your holiday tips'. Anything that invites your customers to converse with your brand.
Be engaging. Your customers will thank you for it! |
