Cooks website doubles clicks

Thursday, 17 November 2011

Since launching new marketing campaigns in Australia earlier this year, the Cook Islands witnessed its website clicks more than double.

Speaking to e-Travel Blackboard last night, Cook Islands Tourism Australia managing director Kerryn Cook said the Group saw a “huge spike” on its site.

“Marketing directed [people] to our website and on the days we were campaigning our website clicks would spike,” she explained.

Within less than six months, Ms Cook said the tourism board’s partners saw bookings into the Cook Islands experience a “major rise”.

The tourism head added that the Aus market was important to the Pacific region because they are adventurous and willing to try new things.

Ms Cook and her team held a special MICE event last night at the Sydney Aquarium, showcasing the Islands to Sydney based event planners.
