PromPeru takes to the road

Thursday, 24 November 2011

PromPeru is undertaking a roadshow in Australia this November and is inviting travel agents to come and meet the team and wholesalers to get a better understanding of what tourism options and products Peru has to offer.

The roadshow kicks off in Brisbane on 21 November, then on to Melbourne on the 23 November and finishes up in Sydney on 24 November.  Drinks, canapés and a number of fantastic travel prizes will be on offer at all events.

PromPeru’s coordinator for the Asia Pacific, Rosana Guinea, is excited to be coming to Australia to meet with the travel trade and showcase the diverse country.

“This roadshow in Australia signifies our commitment to this emerging market and we are very excited to learn more about what Australian travellers want from a destination and how we can better assist the trade and travel agents to sell Peru confidently.  Peru has so much to offer and the most experienced adventurer, as well as the novice and more discerning traveller, will find experiences to surpass expectations in the country,” Ms Guinea says.

“Peru is one of the most popular South American destinations for the Australian market so we expect great interest from travel agents and look forward to sharing information about our key attractions, such as Cusco and Machu Picchu, as well as exciting emerging products,” she added.

From the rugged Andes mountain range to the lush Amazon rainforest and desert coastline, Peru offers spectacular trekking, Incan and pre-Incan archaeological sites, uncrowded surfing, a unique living culture, incomparable cuisine and spectacular flora and fauna.
