Charlotte Douglas Airport continues to improve the customer experience
Named one of the world's best airports in 2010 by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Charlotte Douglas Airport continues to make improvements. The baggage claim area is getting a facelift. Improvements planned for 2012 include an additional TSA Checkpoint and a 55,000 square foot international arrivals area expansion, which will provide additional bag drops for connecting passengers and faster recheck and re-screening.
You and your clients will appreciate these improvements, as Charlotte is US Airways’ largest hub, with almost 600 departures daily to 130 destinations. US Airways’ operations include international service to Frankfurt, London Gatwick, Paris and Rio de Janeiro year round with seasonal service to Madrid, Dublin and Rome.
