Travelport Universal Desktop a hit with Flight Centre

Travelport CEO, Gordon Wilson joined Flight Centre Limited COO, Melanie Waters-Ryan in Sydney this week to see how staff members are finding the new Travelport Universal Desktop, which was launched to the network in October.

“Travelport Universal Desktop has really changed the way we work - it allows us to service customers faster and more efficiently by intuitively providing a wider variety of fares and travel options. The graphical interface and user-friendly design allows new staff members to hit the ground running with new sales leads, while experienced consultants enjoy a more seamless booking workflow,” said Andrew Green, team leader at the Flight Centre Berry Square store in North Sydney.

“Travelport Universal Desktop has enhanced the sales process for our people and our customers. We’re no longer caught up with the technicalities of processing bookings but instead are dedicating more time on finding the best possible travel experiences for our clients.”

The revolutionary desktop application has been successfully rolled out to all Flight Centre Limited retail stores in New Zealand, with completion in Australia and South Africa expected before year end.  Flight Centre stores in the UK and Canada will also be receiving the technology over the coming months.
