The winners of the inaugural P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises marketing competition were awarded with $5,000 toward their marketing budget at the Carnival Australia Partnership Summit onboard Dawn Princess yesterday.

Agents were invited to share their most successful promotional campaign for either P&O Cruises or Princess cruises as part of the competition.

Leah Temple from Sydney-based and family run Temple Travel, was on hand to receive the P&O Cruises award, with Carnival Australia CEO Ann Sherry acknowledging the multi-channel marketing approach they used to garner new passengers for the cruise line.

Utilising the MyCCS website to produce custom-made flyers as part of the promotion, Temple Travel also integrated social media effectively to increase sales and attract new cruisers across their associated agencies Jetset Bowral and Campbelltown and Travelworld Campbelltown and Mt Annan.

Phil Hoffman accepted the Princess Cruises award for Phil Hoffman Travel Glenelg which showcased their broad use of marketing to promote the cruise line including evening seminars, advertising and flyers produced by the MyCCS website.

“The competition entries really demonstrated the hard work agencies put into promoting the Princess Cruises and P&O Cruises brands,” Carnival Australia senior vice president Jenny Lourey said.

Winning agencies will also receive one-one-one consultancy sessions with marketing and advertising agencies BMF and Amnesia.
