Rail in Europe

Despite the year’s ups and downs with the gloomy uncertain economic situations and natural disasters, Rail Europe together with its GSAs (Rail Plus, Rail Tickets, Infinity Rail and CIT) has again achieved incredible sales results.

With more than 25 per cent market share, sales in Australia have almost doubled in the past four years, exceeding 40 million euros.

To maintain this position in 2011, Rail Europe extended product range, introduced new ticketing options, introduced electronic ticketing options for Japan Rail Passes, enhanced the already powerful booking engine and developed direct links to European rail outlets allowing access to a full range of fares and special offers.

In aim to keep supporting the clients and maintain that leadership and the growth over 2012, Rail Europe launched a dedicated support tool myRailEurope to better service its GSAs, as well as hired a dedicated trainer to travel around the world and provide personal training assistance.

New product in 2012 involves liberalisation of the European railways and in that framework, offering more products, supporting marketing initiatives and increasing the awareness of train travel.

The new Thello night train is available for all agents to book through euronet along with a new high-speed line that has opened in France making train travel into Switzerland much faster.  This new line launched this month.
