Singapore Airlines Flight SQ221 – Singapore to Sydney - Economy

Thursday, 15 December 2011

While congestion at Changi International Airport kept us from departing on-time, pilots managed to recover the lost ten to fifteen minutes with an on-time arrival into Sydney Airport.

Check in
Check-in at Changi was quite quick mostly because it was past six in the evening and not many flights were due to depart at that time.

My only concern is there was a last minute Gate change but staff failed to make an announcement to the airport.

My colleagues and I only realised the change after checking the board.

Has this happened to you before?

Luggage Allowance
My checked luggage was perfectly sitting at 18 kilograms and staff were kind enough to let me board the aircraft with both my carry-on and a Charles & Keith carry bag.

Cabin conditions
The aircraft was of course, immaculate!

My seat was a little disappointing, I now know for the future to pre-check-in online so I can choose a seat that allows me to not only see out the window but see more than just the wing. Touch down takes way too long without views of the ground.

Customer service
FANTASTIC! Singapore Airlines staff are perfection inside and out.

Considerate, polite, patient and so well presented.

Entertainment
Although heading to Singapore I opted to try out the on-board entertainment, this time around being night and all I decided it be best I get some shut eye while Christina Aguilera played on my iPod.

Meal Service
I apologise I don’t have much to share in regards to the dinner experience as I slept throughout the flight. However as I was departing the aircraft I did see the remainders of what looked like a chocolate ice-cream.
