Traveleague Christmas Luncheon was just the start of the celebrations for Travel Counsellors Australian Gold Achievers this year. Hosted by Australian General Manger, Deb Duncan “Traveleague was such a fantastic networking event and very timely for us to tie in with our TC’s who recently qualified, and in some cases re-qualified, for “GOLD” status as part of their celebrations. We carried on the surprise celebrations to a private cruise around Melbourne to watch the sun set, of course with champagne & canapés, and all the head office team, it was a brilliant way to cap off a busy year for the TC’s.”
Luxury Private Charter, “Aussie Princess” awaited the GOLD TC’s arrival, with Captain Lindsay welcoming Travel Counsellors GOLD TC’s & Head Office Team onboard for an evening on the water enjoying the sunset over Melbourne city skyline, enjoying good food and great company. Lindsay’s wife Robyn played perfect host to the group, with Gold TC Nadine happily volunteering to give the safety brief before setting sail. It was definitely a night to remember for the Gold TC’s who had the chance to relax and build stronger relationships with each other and their head office support team.
“We were definitely very spoilt, to get the chance to network with suppliers while enjoying a lovely luncheon at Crown, a champagne at the Langham, then stepping on board the TC branded “Aussie Princess” for a night of fun and laughter with all of my head office team was just a great way to celebrate achieving GOLD”, comments Gold TC Christine Jenkins.
The celebrations spilled over to the following day, where the GOLD TC’s were invited into head office for some more fun and laughter in a photo shoot, and then had the chance to view all of the new marketing ideas and merchandise as well as discuss plans for the business in 2012.
The celebrations ended with a special lunch for the Gold TC’s hosted by their Accounts Facilitators and Team Leaders from Head Office along with General Manager Deb Duncan. Anne Dugdale, Accounts Facilitator commented “The boat cruise last night, then the chance to have more dedicated one-on-one time over lunch with the TC’s who I personally assist, has definitely helped strengthen our working relationships as well as assist in my understanding of their individual businesses.”
Gold TC’s Nadine Kutz and Michelle Kelly made the trip from Queensland for the celebrations, with Christine Jenkins and Claudia Silk (also awarded this year’s Avis Scholarship of Excellence Winner) from Victoria, all treated to luxury accommodation at the Langham Hotel. Travel Counsellors have a total of 6 Gold qualifying TC’s out of their group of over 90 throughout Australia. Lucy Fenwick and Scott Mayne were unable to attend the celebrations, both re-qualifiers of GOLD status, having achieved in excess of $119,000AUD in commissions through the qualifying periods this year.
Travel Counsellors currently have over 130 Agents worldwide that are GOLD Achievers. The group have a number of Travel Counsellors throughout their global network, including Australia, that will also qualify for GOLD in the next period which ends 30 April 2012. A dedicated ‘all expenses paid’ GOLD conference is scheduled for the elite group of TC’s for May 2012 in Mauritius. |
