Just like super rock group Coldplay, Australians are given the opportunity to find paradise in South Africa with a new online competition run by South African Tourism. The music video for global rock super group Coldplay was filmed in Cape Town, Johannesburg and the South African Karoo, attracting more than 30 million views of the music video clip on social media channel, YouTube. South African Tourism wants to capitalise on the global popularity this music video clip has created, launching an online competition to drive awareness to the paradise and beauty of the destination, encouraging Australian’s to follow Coldplay’s inspiration and holiday in the most beautiful destination in the world. To enter the competition, any Aussie who views the Paradise music video on YouTube will be invited to tell South African Tourism (via a dedicated Facebook page) what part of South Africa gives them inspiration in the same way it did for Coldplay. South African Tourism will then shortlist the ten most imaginative, heartfelt, fun and spontaneous submissions from all over the world to be put to popular vote to decide the best submission of all. The winner receives a five day all-expenses paid trip to South Africa or, for South Africans, an amazing holiday in South Africa fully paid for by South African Tourism.
