Geckos affordable Antarctica at 25 per cent off

In celebration of their launch into the frozen continent, Gecko’s is offering 25 per cent off all Gecko’s Antarctica voyages for departures between November 2012 and February 2013.

Gecko's has introduced three Antarctic voyages to their already extensive range of adventures, with the discount applied to new bookings deposited by February 29, 2012. (Discount does not apply to triple cabin bookings).

The itineraries start and finish in Ushuaia, Argentina, and include: 10-day Introduction to Antarcticapriced from $4,170, per person, twin share; 11-day Antarctic Explorerfrom $5,096 per person, twin shareand 20-day Falklands, South Georgia and Antarcticafrom $10,046 per person, twin share. These prices are inclusive of the 25 per cent discount and based on lead in cabins.

The tours offer a range of accommodation categories onboard the Ocean Diamond, a modern, stable and fuel-efficient polar expedition vessel with all fuel emissions being carbon offset.  Ranging from triple and twin cabins to spacious balcony suites, all cabins and suites have private facilities and exterior views.

 The voyage includes a range of inclusive activities from snowshoeing to yoga as well as optional activities for purchase including kayaking, overnight camping, cross-country-skiing and mountaineering.

All voyages will feature an on board expert - practicing scientist, historian or researcher from a prominent institution and polar research program who will conduct fieldwork during the voyage, sharing their knowledge and expertise with guests.
