Flight details: Virgin Pacific Blue (DJ 9002). Nadi to Sydney, 10 December 2011. Seat: 14B. Economy Class. Check-in and luggage allowance: I arrived at Sydney Airport approximately two hours prior to departure. Checking-in my baggage was swift and the staff were friendly and helpful. I was privileged to once again enjoy exit row seating, enabling extra leg room. My checked luggage was well below the allowance weight of 23kg. Economy seat/cabin conditions: Upon boarding the Airbus A320 I felt welcomed and comfortable. The cabin crew were polite and directed me to my seat which was much more spacious than I had anticipated. The 3-3 seat configuration of economy class suited the size of the aircraft and the generous 35 inch pitch allowed for plenty of space and room to move. Customer service: This was my second flight aboard Pacific Blue and as before the crew were courteous, kind and super friendly. Whenever I or any other customers required attention, the stewards and stewardesses were on-hand to cater to the needs of all passengers. Meal and snack service: Cold water was offered at intervals during the short flight, as well as the option of a hot or cold meal and drinks service. Entertainment: Entertainment consoles were available for use at purchase. The younger travelers seemed to enjoy these modern, affordable screens. On-time performance: The flight departed on time but arrived in Sydney 30 minutes after the initial, given landing time. |
