Customer Experience Update: Removal of Duty Free between Sydney and Buenos Aires

Tuesday, 10 January 2012

Removal of duty free on SYD-EZE-SYD routes from 9 January 2012

Our second reconfigured B747-400 aircraft will fly between Sydney and Buenos Aires from 9 January to 24 March 2012. Flights on this route, regardless of aircraft type, will no longer offer in-flight duty fee shopping.

The integration of our flagship A380 product onto the B747-400 provide customers with:

    • State of the art Panasonic eX2 In-Flight Entertainment system
    • Fully flat Skybed in Business
    • Award-winning design Economy seats
    • Self-service bar

To implement these enhancements, we have prioritised the use of space on the aircraft based upon what our customers value most. This means that In Sky Shopping has been removed from these aircraft. To ensure consistency of service, In Sky Shopping will not be offered on any non-reconfigured aircraft operating the SYD-EZE-SYD route.

Duty Free not offered on SYD-SCL-SYD routes from 26 March 2012

The second reconfigured B747-400 will move to the SYD-SCL-SYD route when it commences operations on 26 March 2012. No In Sky Shopping will be available on any aircraft flying this route.
