Two of Western Australia’s key travel regions will be on display this weekend as Mount Barker Grapes and Gallops prepare to host thousands of visitors at the Wine and Horse Races. With up to 3,000 attendees expected to cross the two areas on the 15 January, Acting Tourism Minister Helen Morton said in an online statement that the event could help expose the food and wine appeal in the region. “Regional events are important as they provide significant economic, social and cultural benefits to the community,” Ms Morton explained. The one-day event will be supported by Royalties for Regions and is the only event of its kind in Western Australia. |
