Mercure Sydney Potts Point is launching a new photography exhibition titled “A Journey into Beauty – a Year in Photos by Christine and Len” by local photographers Christine Dengate and Len Metcalf. The exhibition examines beauty in all its forms, from pure feminine innocence to provocative nudes, with some posed in front of famous Kings Cross landmarks including the iconic Coca-Cola sign. Open to viewing on level two of the hotel from Wednesday 11th January until March, the exhibition is free to the public and continues the Mercure’s efforts to become part of the local community and to give guests a real taste of this unique part of Sydney. Christine and Len are both internationally exhibited and collected fine art photographers, whose collaborative works examine the interaction between the human form and natural or urban landscapes. “We are very proud to support the local arts community and to showcase the beautiful work of these internationally renowned photographers in the Mercure,” said General Manager Troy Newton. “We hope to follow up with another colourful exhibition to celebrate Mardi Gras and in the future will continue to look for ways to add value to the experience of our guests.” The Mercure Sydney Potts Point is a modern, funky hotel that befits its prime location in one of Sydney’s most vibrant areas. The hotel provides stylish rooms, many with views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and a huge outdoor terrace overlooking the famous Coke sign. Mercure Sydney Potts Point is located at 226 Victoria St, Potts Point. |
