Aiming to ease economic struggles, Greece’s Government is said to have sold up to four Airbus A340 jets to aircraft traders, Apollo Aviation for up to 31 million euros. Completing the transaction earlier this month a statement from the Government said the sale was approved by five different privatisation committees and a finance ministry, AFP reported. “Apollo Aviation Group was the highest bidder,” the Government said. The four aircraft were used after the 2009 privatisation of Olympic Airlines. |
