As reported in e-Travel Blackboard yesterday, current Stella Travel Services USA President Michael Londregan will take up a new role for parent company Jetset Travelworld Group as its Wholesale General Manager. Stella Travel Services USA’s current Chief Financial Officer, Gary Goeldner, will take on the role of Acting President. Mr Londregan has presided over Stella Travel Services USA (which incorporates brands Qantas Vacations, Travel2, Islands in the Sun and Travelscene) for the past four years. With a mother born in the USA and a father born in Australia, it seems Mr Londregan has had a foot in each country and in the coming month he will relocate with his family to Australia. In a letter to industry partners, Stella Travel Services USA’s Marketing Vice President, Amanda Behre acknowledged the “remarkable impact” Mr Londregan has had on “the USA business and travel industry” since his tenure began. “He is a true industry leader,” Ms Behre wrote. “His strategic insight, uncanny ability to interpret and anticipate market trends, his passion for the industry and its people will be missed by the team and from the market”. Both Mr Londregan and Mr Goeldner will be attending this weekend’s Stella Symposium. Mr Londregan was e-Travel Blackboard Americas first ever Face of Travel. Read more about him here. |
