Sydney Opera House is celebrating Chinese New Year 2012, by adding special Mandarin tours certain to delight tourists as well as those with visiting friends and family.

Tours will run from January 16 through to February 5 between 9am-5pm, with up to double the regular number of Mandarin tours departing each day. The 30-minute tours visit venues throughout Sydney Opera House - detailing the history of the building and the creative genius of architect Jørn Utzon.

Participants will receive an official Chinese New Year certificate to commemorate the occasion, as well as special offers for Sydney Opera House souvenir shops.
