In addition to the annual road show this month, South Africa Tourism will for the first time organise a MICE road show in India to be held in August 2012. This road show is of particular significance as a large section of tourism from India to South Africa is incentive driven, and offers the opportunity to explore evolving markets within India that hold great potential for the destination. South African Tourism India Country Head Ms. Hanneli Slabber commented on the announcement, reiterating focus on India through all initiatives. “This road show provides the right opportunity for trade partners from India as well as South Africa to come together and forge profitable business ties. We've included three new cities this year due to the potential we've witnessed in these geographies. The registration procedure has already begun and we have received a very encouraging response from our South African trade partners,” Ms. Hanneli Slabber said. The five city road show held this month in India runs from 30 January to 6 February. In addition to the MICE road show in August, a three city digital road show will also be organised in October 2012 that will help the travel trade to use digital tools. |
