TravelManagers’ Figures Outstrip Industry Average

Wednesday, 18 January 2012

Recent figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed that the number of Australian residents departing for overseas destinations was up 9.9 percent from July 2010 to June 2011. Interestingly TravelManagers’ international tickets issued for travel over the same period were up a staggering 49.4 percent.

Chief Executive – Joe Araullo

Chief Executive Joe Araullo believes TravelManagers’ business model lends itself to sustaining strong growth which well exceeds the industry average.

“Our client base is discerning and they don’t mind paying for proactivity, professionalism and reliability. They regularly comment about the standard of our personal travel managers, their exceptional knowledge and understanding of various countries but also what makes a great holiday.”

Other examples of growth which reflect client confidence in their personal travel manager and acceptance of the business model are that during this same period TravelManagers has seen its cruise sales grow by 39.4 percent and an average network-wide growth in personal travel manager commissions of 44.2 percent.

Araullo says that international tickets issued were above the average for individual personal travel managers also. The increase in tickets issued per personal travel manager was up 13.3% which is 34.3% above the national average for Australian residents departing for overseas destinations.

“We attract a very high calibre of person who is highly motivated and self-driven. We have structured our model to support this with leading technology, a strong emphasis on training and education plus on-the-ground support in each state. There’s no doubt our model is the way of the future, offering security to experienced travel consultants so that they can be in control of their destiny.”

Araullo says as a company they have embraced the internet.

“We are not dissimilar to online travel agents with the difference being that the TravelManagers’ business model offers consumers more flexibility and access to differentiated services. This results in our services being tailored to individual client’s needs and very content clients who are more than happy to refer their personal travel manager to their friends and colleagues.”

Araullo says that they are in expansion mode particularly in the areas of the Northern Territory, Tasmania and South Australia.

“We are keen to appointment our first personal travel manager in the Territory and build on our numbers particularly in Tasmania and South Australia.”

“We’d be keen to have a confidential chat with any experienced travel consultants and agency owners who are highly motivated and keen to have more autonomy and increase their earning capacity because we have a lot to offer them.”
