Check-in experience:
As this was the second of two connecting flights, no check-in was required, allowing for more time to enjoy Dubai Airport's shopping and lounge facilities.

Lounge:
Emirates lounges at its home airport are famous for the enormous size and their facilities.  The Business Class lounge is a virtual airport within an airport, offering everything a traveller needs between flights.  Numerous seating areas from the Quiet Area to the Business Centre to the food service area and reading spaces allow Emirates passengers to find just the right environment to suit their needs and their moods.  The food service is a banquet of options, with the nuanced flavours of Middle Eastern dishes particulary appealing.

On-time performance:  The flight left slightly behind schedule due to the non-appearance of checked-in passengers whose bags had to be offloaded (why passengers miss flights after checking in is always a mystery to me yet this seems to happen with regularity all over the world.  Anyone care to enlighten?).  The flight crew made up the lost minutes en route for an on-time arrival at VIE.

Seat/Cabin conditions:
The Business Class cabin is immaculate and airy.  The seat is comfortable—of course—and a generous seat pitch conveys a sense of space between the rows.  The reclined position is comfortable for sleeping.

Food And Beverage:
Fine wines and champagne are available throughout the flight and accompany the meal service, which offers a selection of international dishes.

Service:
As expected, the cabin crew are efficient and friendly and add to the positive feeling aboard the aircraft. 

Entertainment:
A variety of films and other programs keeps travellers entertained for the duration of the flight.

Arrival:
The flight arrived on time.  Bags were delivered to Baggage Claim without delay.
