Easyjet expands corporate reach with FCm

Tuesday, 24 January 2012

Hoping to increase bookings, Easyjet has signed a corporate deal with FCm Travel Solutions to allow fare bookings via GDSs and online.

Signed earlier this month, the agreement comes after a six month trial, ABTN reported.

FCm director of product Mick Heitzinger explained the Group’s flagship corporate travel brand were “well suited” to work with the carrier.

“We know in this uncertain economic climate many customers are looking for an alternative to the traditional scheduled airline for their European travel needs,” Mr Heitzinger said.

As well as unveiling the new partnership, Eastjet also released plans to launch a new advertisement that will target the corporate market in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The advert called, ‘Heathslow’, encourages corporate travellers to head into London via alternative airports and avoid congestion at Heathrow.

“There is a perception across the regions that the Heathrow route is the only viable option for business travellers into London, but that is simply not the case,” Easyjet UK market director Paul Simmons said.

“The campaign will aim to change public perception and demonstrate that Easyjet has London fully covered for the business passenger in Scotland and Northern Ireland.”
