On 1 January, Burswood Entertainment Complex opened its newly developed glamorous Las-Vegas style pool area, offering a heightened level of luxury exclusively for hotel guests of the property.

The extended pool oasis at five-star InterContinental Perth Burswood covers a massive 6,200 square metres and boasts some magnificent features, including the new Poolside Bar and Grill, an indoor pool facility, a huge main outdoor resort-style pool, a kids pool and ‘The Enclave’ which consists of private, spectacular cabanas complemented by sophisticated sun lounges, day beds, audio/visual equipment and a private plunge pool.

A special feature of the main pool is the ‘Baja Shelf’ which holds ten Chaise Lounges allowing guests to be slightly submerged in cool water whilst basking in the sun.

Guests will enjoy lavish and indulgent days poolside, complete with tented cabanas, tropical gardens, plunge pools and personal butlers, as well as an exclusive new Day Spa – ISIKA Perth, which will open early February. Sister property to ISIKA at Crown Melbourne, ISIKA Perth will combine sumptuous treatment rooms, exclusive products and experienced therapists to launch Perth’s most luxurious spa.

Burswood’s Chief Executive Officer Barry Felstead said that the pool redevelopment was an exciting milestone in Burswood’s ongoing refurbishment and modernisation project.

“The pool area at InterContinental Perth Burswood offers a world-class facility for guests of the hotels, and is part of our ongoing vision to create a new benchmark for true five-star international luxury. We have worked with the best in the business to create the modern design concept of the pool area, in line with a new sophisticated day spa offering, set to fully maximise enjoyment and relaxation for our guests,” said Mr Felstead.

The VVIP pool, known as ‘The Enclave,’ will provide the ultimate decadent area, offering VVIP poolside cabanas available for hotel guests, fitted with all the extravagant extras including private flat screen televisions, audio systems with karaoke, luxury day beds and lounges and a private plunge pool. The VVIP area will be complete in late January.

The kids pool will be barrels of fun, complete with waterslides and spray fountains, water cannons, water buckets and an exclusive kids spa, providing everything needed for a entertaining day by the pool.

To introduce the area to existing and potential guests to the hotel, a lavish, invitation-only party will take place poolside in mid-February.
