TravelManagers have announced that their 2012 annual National Conference will be held in Fiji. This is the first time TravelManagers have taken their conference offshore and Chief Executive, Joe Araullo says it has been a popular decision.
“We’re in the travel industry so who doesn’t love to travel overseas! It will be a great place to get everyone together to celebrate what we know will be another great year.”
The conference will run from Friday 9 November through to Sunday 11 November and Araullo says they expect in excess of 200 of the personal travel managers network will attend.
“Following the 2011 conference over 80 percent of personal travel managers indicated they would attend the conference if it was in Fiji. We’re holding it at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa which is a superb venue for large gatherings such as this. If it is anything like the previous years’ conferences there will be a lot of fun had as well as people coming away inspired, motivated and informed.”
Paresh Pant, Regional Director Australia for Fiji Tourism says he was delighted to hear TravelManagers had decided to come to Fiji.
“The Fiji tourist industry is thrilled that TravelManagers has selected Fiji for its 2012 conference. The personal travel manager business model is hugely successful in reaching the ‘discerning’ consumer. More and more consumers understand there is real value in having your ‘own’ personal travel manager making this is a great niche for Fiji. We value our partnership immensely with TravelManagers and it’s great that they will get to experience world famous Fijian warmth and hospitality.”
Araullo says the TravelManagers team have already begun work on the content of the conference.
“We put a great deal of time and energy into our National Conference as we see it as another fantastic opportunity to educate and inform our personal travel managers and National Partnership Office team. It’s also a time of celebration and recognition of what individuals and as a team we’ve achieved. There’s no doubt it’s a highlight in everyone’s calendars.”
Araullo says more information about the conference will be announced in the next few months. |
