Naomi and her new car at Montville Oceanview Cottages

A new Ford Escape couldn’t have come at a better time for Newmarket resident, Naomi Price. Drawn as part of a Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL) Spring Escape promotion, Naomi was presented with the keys to her new vehicle today and couldn’t believe her luck.

“I work in the arts sector and had a tough time last year. I really needed a pick-me-up and came to stay at Montville Oceanview Cottages for a couple of nights. I actually cried when I got the news, as I have been struggling to make repayments on my own car! I believe this will be a turning point for me and a start of better things to come for the year ahead,” Naomi said.

Working with Pacific Motor Group and Ford, the SCDL promotion encouraged any visitor booking two or more consecutive nights with participating Sunshine Coast accommodation operators, to go in the draw to win a new Ford Escape.

SCDL CEO Steve Cooper said, “Over 70 local accommodation operators participated in the campaign targeting the crucial drive market of Brisbane which represents 42.9% of the market. The Spring Escape promotion increased bookings through the traditionally low visitation period of mid-October to mid-December.

“We received over  445 entries (spread across the regions; booked 2-5 days in advance of arrival and for a duration of 2-4 nights with some 7nights +). The campaign also included the exposure of over 19 million Facebook impressions, over 190,000 google ads and nearly 17,000 page visits,” said Mr Cooper.
