Mr Ted Teng, President & CEO of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd, has welcomed in Australia, an impressive gathering of the company’s iconic Italian hotels, visiting Sydney and Melbourne for a series of exclusive bespoke events.

Representatives and owners from legendary properties such as Le Sirenuse, Villa d’Este, Baglioni Hotels, Hassler Roma, Hotel Santa Caterina, Bauer Hotels, Grand Hotel Villa Medici, Borgo Egnazia Hotel & Villas, Grand Hotel Miramare, Capri Palace Hotel & Spa and Grand Hotel et de Milan, are here to meet and network with Australian travel industry partners, Leaders Club members and introduce their latest developments, and luxury guest services to the media.

For Leading Hotels of the World, Italy continues to be Australia’s number one destination. In fact in 2011 hotel revenue for Italy increased by 24%. According to Mr Teng, “Australians are constantly seeking the right blend of stay with authentic local experiences and guest benefits in the world’s most inspired destinations. This combined with a strong Australian dollar has boosted demand even more”.

The Theme ‘Italy, One-of-a-Kind’ brings together the vast collection of more than 50 independently owned, luxury hotels throughout Italy. Each one, very individual and iconic in every respect.

Since the launch of their new directory in 2011, Leading Hotels pays tribute to the tradition of the family-owned property.
