Accor Hotels is the first large tourism organisation to receive the tick of approval from the new Australian T-QUAL Accreditation Program. Aiming to offer tourists access to Australian operators with quality products and services the accredited tick introduced to the industry in April last year is handed to tourism business committed to “customer-quality promise”. Now with the addition of Accor Hotels, up to 12,600 operators across the country are credited with the T-QUAL approval, a figure Minister for Tourism Martin Ferguson described as a “milestone” for the travel industry. "With so many choices for travellers here and overseas, it’s more important than ever that quality tourism businesses are distinctive," Minister Ferguson said. “The T-QUAL Tick offers that. "A national symbol of quality is good for consumers because value-for-money choices become more visible, and it’s good for those who strive for the rewards that come from reaching the levels of quality and customer service that consumers expect.” Minister Ferguson continued, stating that organisations can benefit from receiving T-QUAL accreditation and encouraged other larger Groups to apply for the quality standard tick. |
