Passenger wish list for the perfect flight

Friday, 22 June 2012

A recent survey revealed peace and quiet were among the most wanted feature on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, set to depart from Tokyo to Singapore in September.

The survey of 1000 passengers by Skyscanner revealed that after capsule-style bunks taking 20 percent of votes, 26 percent of people wanted soundproof sections for families with noisy children, PR Newswire reported.

Anti-kick seats and massaging chairs took third and fourth spots, taking eight percent votes, while free iPad usage came in at number five.

A section for singles where people could potentially meet a mate came in at number seven in the list just after transparent floors and ceilings.

Skyscanner director for Asia Pacific Ewan Gray said as parent himself he can understand the stress associated with travelling with children for both parents and fellow travellers.

“Its just a shame that for most of us flying in economy class these luxury features will have to remain a dream,” Mr Gray said.
