Singapore Airlines’ new low-cost subsidiary carrier, Scoot has employed Revenue Management Software’s (RMS) airRM to manage seat inventory. Scoot chief Campbell Wilson said staff will have access to RMS’ innovative revenue management application for future revenue-enhancing decisions, according to Business Wire. “airRM is already delivering results. We have much greater visibility, and airRM’s accurate analysis and optimization tools are raising efficiency while identifying opportunities to increase flight revenues.” Employing the revenue management software is anticipated to be value-adding for both staff and customers. “All of us at Revenue Management Systems are thrilled to be a part of Scoot’s exciting launch,” RMS chief operating officer Eric Nordling said. “We are positive travellers will love the value offered by Scoot, just as much as Scoot loves the value offered by airRM.” Scoot’s introduction to the aviation industry was announced in May 2011 and the airline launched its inaugural flight to Sydney in June of this year. |
