The premier appointment-based incentive event closes to high marks

Wednesday, 4 July 2012

The seventh annual Incentive Travel Exchange, held in partnership with Site, came to a successful close at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. After over 6,000 one-to-one appointments and numerous high-caliber networking functions, buyers are praising the format and delivery while suppliers are already securing their positions for 2013. Dates for the next Incentive Travel Exchange were announced for June 24-26, 2013.

“We have established ourselves as the premier appointment-based incentive event in the United States and have strived to continue that level of quality and service for our clients," commented Global Event Director, Danielle Cirami-Gillis. “The positive feedback we’ve already received speaks volumes to our continued success and the quality of meetings that resulted from two days of one-to-one appointments.”

Buyers and suppliers confirmed their attendance with high expectations and they left Incentive Travel Exchange fulfilled. “The purpose was to gain knowledge and I really enjoyed the pace,” explained Steven Koenig, Chief Executive Officer of Group Trek Travel. “We have already asked for a proposal from a participant and have made many great new contacts for future groups. Many times it is years before an actual contract develops as we fit our clients into various destinations and properties. However, we now have many more options to consider.”

Suppliers concurred the format is focused and productive resulting in quality business meetings. “ITE provides a beneficial B2B appointment-based platform which allows for business discussion in an intimate environment,” stated Chris Lynn, Sales & Marketing Director, North American & Emerging Markets of London & Partners. “With so much competition for marketing spending and corporate pressure for ROI, ITE appears to have found its niche.”

The value of the one-to-one appointments is complimented with the educational experiences and quality peer-to-peer interaction at the event. “Perhaps the best thing that occurred at the conference was that it motivated me, as CEO with primary business development responsibility, to grow our business and take advantage of the wonderful places for companies and professional associations to meet for both business and pleasure,” says Koenig. Incentive Travel Exchange drew suppliers from around the world representing hotels and resorts, spas, destinations, cruise lines, destination management companies and more. Attendees were North American incentive buyers representing high-volume domestic and international purchasing power.

Mark your calendars for the eighth annual Incentive Travel Exchange, taking place June 24-26, 2013 at the THEhotel at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
