Travellers can now book Qantas flights on the go thanks to the launch of a new functionality on their mobile site launched today.
Enabling customers the ability to search and book domestic and international flights on a smart phone means greater convenience according to chief executive officer Qantas domestic Mr Lyell Strambi.
Mr Strambi said customers wanted greater convenience and flexibility to book flights away from their home or office.
“The Qantas Mobile site now makes it easier for our customers to book their flights while on the move.”
Qantas customers can now make a flight booking, pay for it and check-in while travelling to the airport for the flight with the convenience of it all in the palm of their hand.
The new function adds to the already existing Qantas Mobile site that was launched back in 2008, allowing customers to check-in for domestic flights, check flight status and receive SMS flight updates.
The mobile site also provides customers with information at a touch of the finger such as access to worldwide Qantas Club lounge locations, contact numbers for Qantas offices worldwide and up to date timetables for Qantas, QantasLink, Jetstar and codeshare flights.
Logging into the site can be done by entering your Qantas frequent flyer number, surname and PIN. For those non-Frequent flyer members all that is required to log in is a booking reference and surname.
To access the Qantas mobile site, type qantas.com into a web-enabled smart phone.
