After a rigorous judging process, the managers of the South Coast Tourism Awards are pleased to announce a total of 35 finalists for 2012.  All award winners will be declared at the Gala Dinner, which is to be held on Wednesday 15th August 2012 at Club Sapphire, Merimbula.

Chairman of the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation, Mr Rob Pollock, congratulated the finalists and said “All of these finalists are showing how committed they are to providing the best available service and value to their customers.  I would like to congratulate all the businesses and acknowledge that being a finalist is a great achievement for their efforts over the past year.”

Finalists have been nominated in numerous categories this year including Festivals and Events, Accommodation and Tourist Attractions to name a few.  There is also a “People’s Choice Award” where the outcome is up to you and all finalists are in the running for this award.  Voting lines open Friday 13th July 2012, so anyone can vote for their favourite finalist and nominate up to 3 businesses to be the most popular tourism business on the South Coast of NSW.  Go to www.awards.southcoast.net.au and just follow the links. 

If a business is successful in winning at the Gala Dinner, they have the chance to represent the South Coast at the prestigious NSW Tourism Awards, which are held in November each year.
