Party go-ers will be rolling into Cairns’ most prestigious hotel and entertainment complex for the inaugural Reef Casino Festival celebrating the five-star property’s $3.3 million dollar refurbishment. 

From August 3 to 5, Pullman Reef Hotel Casino will showcase an exclusive Celebrity Chef Degustation Dinner, celebrity cooking demonstrations, a star-studded sportsman’s lunch and a stellar line up of jazz, rock and pop gigs.

One of the Festival highlights features ‘Masterchef’ regular and renowned tapas expert, Miguel Maestre who will put his extraordinary culinary expertise on show at a six course degustation dinner.

On Friday August 3, host of the Lifestyle channel’s ‘Miguel’s Tropical Kitchen’ will showcase his Spanish heritage with a menu featuring Duck Liver Pate ‘Al Jerez’, Pan Roasted Snapper Fillet with salsa gribiche, crayfish salad and tempura zucchini petals and “Entrecote de Ternera en Salsica”.

Santiago’s Tart with local vanilla ice-cream is bound to tantalise tastebuds and provide the perfect end to the evening.  

The property’s rejuvenation includes redecoration of the ballroom, conference rooms and the boutique casino’s upper level Casino Sports Arena has undergone a complete transformation.

Giveaways during the Reef Casino Festival include 36 LG 42” Televisions, 4000 scratchies,  $5000 worth of gaming chips and a Saturday night casino cash countdown of $10,000.
