The New South Wales Government has announced the State’s largest ever discount accommodation promotion, in partnership with Westfield Shopping Centres to attract Sydney residents to holiday and visit regional New South Wales.

The “Make Some Our Time” campaign was launched by the Premier Barry O’Farrell, the Minister for Tourism George Souris and the CEO of Destination NSW, Sandra Chipchase this week and offers shoppers the opportunity to win a $200 accommodation voucher towards a holiday in a regional destination in New South Wales. 5,000 vouchers are up for grabs and shoppers need only spend $30 at any Westfield store at Bondi Junction, Burwood, Chatswood, Eastgardens, Miranda, Parramatta, Penrith and Sydney to have the chance to win one of these vouchers. Further details about the campaign can be viewed at www.visitnsw.com

Tourism Industry Council NSW Chairman, Ken Corbett praised the new initiative “as a much needed fillip for the regional industry in New South Wales that directly targets the largest market for travel dollars in the southern hemisphere – Sydney”. Mr Corbett also welcomed the campaign that promotes the booking and selling of accommodation online and the leading edge, digital effects technology that enables the participant to see themselves in a picturesque regional location.

Premier O’Farrell said that “he wanted more people to take advantage of the state’s regional diversity, including its panoramic outback settings, magnificent world heritage listed rainforests, stunning beaches, it’s Snowy Mountains winter wonderland and exceptional wine regions”.
