Garuda Indonesia appoints Adatc sales as its first GSA in Brunei Darussalam

Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, has appointed its first General Sales Agent (GSA) in Brunei Darussalam, ADATC Sales. Starting 1 August 2012, ADATC Sales will act as Garuda Indonesia’s local representative to manage its sales, marketing and reservation activities in Brunei.
“Brunei is an important market for Garuda as it shares many cultural similarities to Indonesia and we’re already seeing a steady flow of both leisure and business travellers from the country. With over three decades of experience, ADATC Sales is considered as a veteran in air travel, topping the industry as one of the best performing tour operators in Brunei and we’re confident this partnership will further strengthen our presence in the local market and help enhance the quality of our services to better serve passengers,” said Nicodemus Lampe, Vice President, Area Asia, Garuda Indonesia.
Through this partnership, travellers going to Indonesia and beyond can now easily access over 30 Indonesian cities on Garuda Indonesia’s strong domestic network. Among them are major cities and tourist spots such as Bali, Yogyakarta, Makassar, Surabaya and Lombok. The airline also serves nearly 20 destinations throughout Asia and Europe including Singapore, Malaysia, Shanghai, Tokyo and Amsterdam.

Garuda Indonesia was recently named ‘The World’s Best Regional Airline’ by Skytrax, a London-based global airline review and ranking consultancy. The award was given to Garuda based on a global customer satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax of 18 million passengers from 100 different countries between July 2011 and June 2012.
In 2010, the airline was named as the ‘World’s Most Improved Airline’ at Skytrax’s World Airlines Awards in Hamburg, Germany and achieved a landmark four-star rating by Skytrax in 2009.
