TASMANIAN EXPEDITIONS NEW SNOWSHOEING TRIPS

Tasmanian Expeditions is set to challenge the idea that walking around the island state is strictly a summer activity with the release of an exciting new range of snowshoeing trips. The new four-day Walls of Jerusalem Winter Experience and six-day Overland Track Winter Trek will appeal to hardy hikers keen to experience Tasmania’s magnificent wilderness regions - void of the crowds that are common during the warmer months. TASMANIAN YACHTING ADVENTURES


Sailing enthusiasts can now explore Tasmania’s stunning coastline aboard a 62 foot luxury yacht. Offering a wide variety of trips to suit a range of budgets and interests, Tasmanian Yachting Adventures sail guests around some of Tasmania’s most breathtaking coastline destinations including Wineglass Bay, the Derwent River and the stunning East Coast. Cruises range from three hours to six days, providing avid adventurers the opportunity to view dolphins and seal colonies, migrating whales, secluded beaches, iconic sites like the Port Arthur convict settlement or 90 metre high cliff faces that drop straight into the sea. Photography lovers will enjoy Shutterbug Walkabouts new ‘Ferns, Fungi & Waterfall’ tour, set in the stunning rainforest of Mt Wellington, just 20 minutes from Hobart’s CBD. The natural rainforest environment provides endless photographic opportunities, with participants guided through the techniques for low-light, close-up, waterfall and nature photography. Dolerite ‘Organ Pipes’, shady tree-fern gullies, waterfalls, birds, wildlife, flora and fungi are just some of the attractions this experience offers.
