Cunard Sales Hit Record Levels

Tuesday, 31 July 2012

Cunard has reported its biggest booking day in Australia for more than two years, with a surge of reservations in response to the launch of the cruise line’s Grand 7-Day Sale yesterday.

Yesterday’s booking numbers were the second highest on record, eclipsed only by the 2010 launch of Queen Mary 2’s first circumnavigation of Australia.

The first day result was also an impressive 40 per cent greater than total bookings for any previous Cunard short sale, reflecting holidaymakers’ eagerness to secure a berth on Cunard’s 2013 world voyages.

The Grand 7-Day Sale, which runs until midnight on Tuesday July 31, offers travellers the opportunity to book a balcony stateroom at an inside stateroom price on a range of sectors on Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria’s world voyages.

Voyages available during the sale include a 16-night journey from Hong Kong to Brisbane on Queen Mary 2, priced from $2499* per person complete twin for a balcony stateroom.
