A South American tour operator, Bamba Experience has obtained Kumuka’s Overland Trucks operations in the region following the company’s bankruptcy announcement this month.

Contacting all agents currently distributing its products, Bamba Experience said effective immediately it had purchased all trucks and added their operations team to the organization.

The tour operator said the purchase meant that consultants are now able to “book South American overland tours previously offered by Kumuka”, through the company.

“We have already sent two of our operations managers to test out the current trips and fine tune the operation of these tours to make sure it reflects Bamba's travel culture,” a statement from the company ready.

“We are able to operate all the routes that Kumuka had been operating in Latin America, however, our idea is to start with the routes going from Lima to La Paz, La Paz to Lima, Rio to BA, and BA to Rio.”
