Sydney’s Marquee at The Star was on display to more than 650 event planners, buyers and media during a special, invitation-only event this week, showcasing the venue’s MICE potential and functionality.

Scattered throughout the club’s four large and uniquely individual rooms, aptly named ‘Four Moods’, guests were treated to an array of champagne, wine and delicious canapés.

The Star’s executive chef Andy North treated guests to servings of freshly shucked oysters, duck pancakes, arancini, goat’s cheese and tomato pastries and a range of cocktails and drinks.

The entire club was open for invited guests to explore and experience.

Each of the four spaces; the Main Room, the Library, the Dressing Room and the Boombox has the ability to be used separately or in conjunction with each other for events and special occasions.

“Tonight’s event has shown off the truly unique spaces at Marquee that would each be perfect for the different functions we put on, from entertaining a small group of clients right up to Christmas parties for 300 people,” IOOF Holdings Limited executive assistant Magdalene McCutcheon said.

“It was such a great night and an experience that is completely different to any other venue in Sydney.”
Marquee attracts some big names for nightclub events as well. Hip-hop superstar Jermaine Dupri played last month and Lil Jon is performing this week.

Marquee is The Star’s latest addition to its $870 million renovation of the Sydney Casino space, encompassing 20,000 square feet of floor space and a capacity for more than 1000 guests.

The Star will open its Event Centre early next year, providing further event opportunities at Sydney’s premier entertainment complex.
