Royal Trivia to test Australian agents

Royal Caribbean International has launched a trivia competition through its Australia and New Zealand Facebook fan page to increase brand awareness and usage of the Royal Caribbean website.

The competition winner will receive a 14 night cruise for two on Voyager of the Seas with the top three scorers each week nabbing a double pass to the premiere of Madagascar 3.

The Royal Trivia competition appears as an application on the RCI Facebook page and agents will be asked weekly questions on the brand for a six week period. A leader board will foster office rivalry.

Royal Caribbean Commercial Manager Adam Armstrong said the cruise line’s social media channel is the perfect way to communicate with both industry and consumers.

“We enjoy providing updates on our ships, sneak peeks and responding to queries through our Facebook page,” he said.  “With the use of social media continuing to increase at such a rapid rate, we hope this competition will ensure Royal Caribbean is top of mind through this busy booking season.”


Voyager of the Seas arrives in Australia this November and will revolutionise cruising in the region.  Not only will she be the biggest ship to be based down under at almost double the size of most of her contemporaries, she will feature concepts and experiences never-before-seen in the region.

Royal Trivia begins today and concludes September 14. Entries are open to both travel industry members and consumers.
