The Star’s Sales and Events Team are energised after what was a very successful run at the Australian Business Events Expo. The Star, Sydney’s premium events entertainment destination, showcased its wide variety of event spaces, cuisine options by Chefs Andy North and Teage Ezard, as well as introducing attendees to the eagerly awaited, multi-functional Events Centre – set to open in early 2013.

As Jakki Temple, Executive Director of Sales at The Star commented, “We were extremely happy by the level of interest in the Events Centre and we have gathered a significant number of interested parties who will be joining us on hard-hat tours of the site to explore the boundless opportunities it presents to the events market.”

As sponsors of a variety of activities for the Australian Business Events Expo Hosted Buyer Programme, The Star took guests on a tour of event spaces, from private dining rooms at Balla, Milanese inspired restaurant, to penthouses in the award winning hotel, The Darling.

As Programme participant Carlita Glode, National Events Coordinator, Property Council of Australia, stated “Our site inspection was of the complete venue including the stunning accommodation, the various event spaces, restaurants, bars and an overview of the new Events Centre. It really is a fantastic venue with something for everyone and any type of event”.

Ms Glode added, “Personally, I’m really excited about the Events Centre, it’s something Sydney has needed for a long time. I can’t wait to hold some of our upcoming events in the space.”

Andy North, Director of Culinary and Casual Dining, The Star and Teage Ezard of BLACK by ezard restaurant enthralled visitors at the Taste kitchen, serving up poached organic duck egg in burek pastry with potato and leek crème and aged parma ham.

Guests at the Taste Kitchen were given a rare insight into the plans for the upcoming Events Centre with Andy North sharing some of the unique restaurant style cuisine that will be available within the venue. Also revealed were their plans for events to take place in the much anticipated Events Centre from January 2013.

The Star invites those who missed out on the opportunity to book places for hard hat tours of the Events Centre to contact The Star’s Sales and Events Team on starsales@echoent.com.au or 02 9777 9000.
