Nobu wins best Asian Restaurant and Modo Mio wins best Italian Restaurant – formal

Burswood is incredibly proud to take out two awards at the prestigious 2012 Savour Australia™ Restaurant & Catering HOSTPLUS Awards for Excellence last night, with Nobu Perth winning the category of best Asian Restaurant, and Modo Mio Cucina Italiana winning the category of best Italian Restaurant – formal

Over 700 guests gathered in the Grand Ballroom for the presentation of the awards which recognises excellence in food and service standards across Western Australia.

The teams at both Nobu and Modo Mio are celebrating the achievement of winning these respected accolades, having competed against fellow WA metro finalists.

Andrew Hill, Burswood’s Chief Operating Officer – Hotels and Entertainment said, “we are extremely proud to be recognised for these prestigious awards. Both restaurants have played a vital role in contributing to our premium dining portfolio here at Burswood”.

Known for his innovative ‘new style’ Japanese cuisine, Nobu Matsuhisa’s restaurants are a global success and his Perth restaurant at Burswood is no different, presenting an amazing choice of sushi and sashimi, as well as internationally acclaimed signature dishes with a view that can’t be matched!

With a reputation for cuisine, service and a dining experience of unparalleled quality, Nobu Matsuhisa works only with the finest, and Head Chef Jerome Lorvellec and Restaurant Manager Martyn Allum are delighted with the recognition for the restaurant and their dedicated team.

Modo Mio provides authentic and honest Italian cuisine that celebrates the spirit of Italian culture, where food and family are central to everyday life. Head Chef Giampaolo Maffini’s extensive international experience and exposure to a variety of cultures and cuisines has enabled him to explore a number of cooking techniques which he uses today, paired with the refined skills of Restaurant Manager Bernadine Alcantra leading the team on the floor.

In September, Burswood will become Crown Perth, welcoming a number of new developments including new French restaurant Bistro Guillaume which will be inspired by the finest bistros of Paris, featuring the cuisine of acclaimed French Chef, Guillaume Brahimi. New pub venue, The Merrywell, will also open in September, with a menu of infamous ‘dude food’ favourites inspired by Chefs Sam DeMarco and Grant MacPherson. The Merrywell has one promise - good times on tap!

With each new restaurant addition, the Complex continues to offer an unsurpassed dining experience, with an extensive and ever growing selection of premium and casual dining choices.
