Perth Airport Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the results of its recent Request for Proposal (RFP) process in relation to selecting retailers for the new domestic terminal (to be named Terminal 2) at Perth Airport.
Strong proposals were submitted by a significant number of organisations for six food and beverage and specialty retail offers.
LS Travel Retail has been awarded both the landside convenience store (90sqm) and airside News/Books/Gifts/Technology/Convenience offer (250sqm). The landside Hub Convenience store has been designed for those preferring a fast arrival and departure purchase, while the airside Relay outlet will feature a store-in-store tech-2-go concept selling the latest gadgets and technology products.
The Coffee Club (Properties) Pty Ltd has been awarded an indoor/outdoor landside café location (75sqm+) with seating and an extensive food and drinks menu. The café will employ The Coffee Club’s new look concept.
ELRA Properties Pty Ltd has been awarded an airside premium coffee and food outlet (60sqm) and will trade as Hudsons Coffee. The café will focus on speed of service and quality products desired by passengers to consume in the terminal or take onboard.
Delaware North Companies Australia has been awarded an airside bar and hot food outlet (70sqm+), which will showcase the iconic Western Australian beer “Little Creatures” under a Fours Alls Brew House brand. Customers will be able to relax in comfortable seating and enjoy local hospitality.
Subway Realty Pty Ltd has been awarded a fast food outlet to operate a Subway sandwich outlet (70sqm), the first for Perth Airport terminals of this very popular brand.
All outlets are expected to be open in early 2013 when Alliance Airlines, Skywest and Tiger Airways commence commercial operations from the new terminal.
Scott Norris, Executive General Manager Commercial Services, Perth Airport said, “We have been very pleased with the quality of the responses received from all organisations that participated in the RFP process for Terminal 2.
“Many embraced the unique character of the new Domestic Terminal, taking the passenger demographics and the Western Australian culture into consideration in delivering their proposals. We would like to congratulate those organisations which have been awarded locations, and look forward to working with them to deliver high quality food and beverage and retail options for Perth Airport customers”.
In respect of future opportunities, an RFP will be issued in October 2012 for international departures retail.
Initially, four new landside international departures food and beverage outlets will be sought and delivered progressively throughout 2013.
