APT’s adventures into the Outback

Tuesday, 9 October 2012

Small group 4WD adventures to the remote and rugged regions of Cape York, the Kimberley, the Red Centre, the Top End, the Gulf Country, Birdsville, the Pilbara, Flinders Ranges and Lake Eyre make up APT’s Cape York & Outback Wilderness Adventures brochure for the April-October 2013 season released this week.

The brochure, APT’s third dedicated to The Outback, carries a choice of 11 itineraries which range from 6 to 22 days.

Truly off-the-beaten-track experiences, no more than 24 guests, travelling in custom- designed 4WD vehicles, escorted by fully-trained driver/guides, staying in a unique selection of resorts, lodges, pubs and hotels and fully-inclusive pricing of meals, sightseeing, entrance fees, permits and accommodation are some of APT’s proven key adventure experience selling points with this program.

A range of APT SuperDeals, such as savings of up to $1,500 per couple, for bookings made before December 31, are featured in the new brochure.

APT’s General Manager Marketing, Debra Fox said the tours were designed for discerning, well-travelled people who want educational, experiential, interactive and cultural adventures with the comforts of modern air-conditioned vehicles, good food and quality local accommodation.

“We take customers to some really special and culture-rich Aussie places not accessible by normal cars or coaches.”

Most popular tour is the 12-day Cooktown & Cape York package, priced from $6,995 per person twin share which includes the early booking savings of up to $700 a couple.

The Cooktown & Cape York price includes guided touring, accommodation, 28 meals and features two nights in Cooktown and an excursion with award-winning indigenous Guurrbi Tours.
